The identification of what will be the big toy of Christmas every year is important for both ends of the market. Consumers want to be trapped by a sudden influx donÂ't of the most popular toy of the city, fighting through hordes of desperate would-be buyers to reach small towns. Retailers also donÂ't want to miss out on potential sales Bonanza or (as irritating) retain the mountains of stock reactions after misidentifying the star of the toy.

The signs are there. If you plan to get Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy for a very special person for Christmas, you may be advisable to buy one sooner rather than later.
